Firework Warehouse Raided In Banglamung District

Officers of Banglamung district have raided a warehouse which was storing over 200,000 THB worth of fireworks.

PATTAYA – December 30, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 7.00 p.m., Mr. Amnart Charoensri (Senior Deputy District Chief, Acting Banglamung sheriff, Chon Buri province) had coordinated with the police of Banglamung police station the army to raid and search Rungrueang shop which is located in  48 Moo 4 Tambon Na Kluea, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.  Upon inspecting the shop’s warehouse the officers found lot of  fireworks, huge firecrackers and Chinese lanterns  which were all worth around  200,000 THB.

Mr. Amnart Charoensri (Senior Deputy District Chief, Acting Banglamung sheriff, Chon Buri province) said that  due to an incident on  December 29th where  a group of teenagers had made a huge firecracker which looked like a bomb and then threw it into a street causing lots of people to panic decided to crack down on people selling and using fireworks. The officers then found out that Rungrueang shop was storing and selling fireworks so they decided to raid it where they found around 200,000 THB worth of fireworks.. They would also like to warn people who are selling fireworks if they are caught they will be arrested and that also applies to Thai and foreigners if they are caught setting fireworks off in public areas they will also be arrested.
