Finlanders Foil Theft Attempt By Lying Ladyboy

A 22-year-old ladyboy was arrested on Pattaya Beach Road for snatching a gold necklace from a Finnish tourist. The victim’s brother busted the ladybody, who had been fondling his younger brother while stealing the necklace. The ladyboy denied the theft charge.

PATTAYA – February 27, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2 a.m., the arrest of a ladyboy for stealing a necklace from a tourist was announced by Pol. Lt. Phallop Ringrod, Deputy Inspector, Pattaya police station; with inspector police and volunteer police.

The suspect was arrested at the beginning of Soi 13/1 on Pattaya Beach Road. He was identified as Mr. Chayarat Mattiko, age 22, from Tambon Thoonhong, Amphur Meuang Phrae, Phrae province. He is accused of stealing property at night. Police seized the evidence of a gold necklace with a heart locket, 1-saleung weight.

The events leading to the arrest began when the radio center of Pattaya police station was notified that a ladyboy was making trouble trying to steal the property of foreign tourists on Beach Road. So the police rushed to the scene, and found the victim, identified as Mr. Kai Christian Anderson, from Finland, together with his elder brother.

Meawhile, the trouble-making ladyboy thief was being restrained by volunteer police and the local people who were the witnesses. Police recovered the victim’s stolen necklace, which they kept for evidence.

The Finnish victims told police that they were walking to see the scenery of Pattaya Beach. Then a ladyboy sitting in the dark corner under the coconut tree walked up to them. She started hugging and fondling the brothers, and when the chance arose, the ladyboy snatched the younger brother’s necklace away.

But the elder brother noticed the theft, and began arguing with the ladyboy. Then the nearby local people and the nearby officers assisted to capture the ladyboy with the stolen necklace.

After his arrest, the trouble-making ladyboy still denied the theft accusation. The lying ladyboy was sent to Pol. Sub. Lt. Anocha Nanthachai,investigation officer on duty, to prosecute according to the law.
