Female Fraudster Arrested

The police of Nong Prue police have arrested a fraudulent 35-year-old woman who has deceived over 20 victims by claiming to be a realtor. The total fraud was over 3 million THB.

PATTAYA – July 9th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.00 p.m., Pol.Col. Pramot Ngarm-pra-dit (Superintendent of Nong Prue police station), Pol.Lt.Col. Thapanat Chayarnphat (Deputy Superintendent) and detective police team together arrested Miss Kanokwan or Kee To-ban-dit, aged 35 for fraud. There had been over 20 victims totalling over 3 million THB.


Nong Prue police station had been notified by Miss Noppharat Jansa that she had been defrauded by Miss Kanokwan ( defendant) for 405,000 THB. There were also many more victims who had contacted Pattaya city police station and Sattahip police station. Therefore, the police investigated the case and found out that the woman fraudster who was wanted by police. Soon after she was arrested at home by police.


Upon questioning each victim they told police that she claimed to sell real estate and was an ex-bank officer of one well-known bank and could easily get loans from each victim but they had to pay her 3% of the total loan.


Afterwards, Miss Kanokwan would then tell the victims that they had to pay bribes to the bank officers for setting up their loans plus a lot of additional service fees.


There were approximately 20 victims and each had lost 50,000 THB to 800,000 THB. The police still think that there are a lot more victims that haven’t yet notified the police. Initially, the police detained Miss Kanokwan and denied her bail.


The police also said that if anyone else has fallen victim to her should contact Nong Prue police station.
