He stepped on the red carped alone besides the rumors that Angelina Jolie was in town too, but she did not come. The two have recently spurred rumors about their marriage, but decided to do it when everyone will be able to do it.

Actor will not marry Angelina Jolie until restrictions on gay marriage are lifted, the star said in an interview released Friday.

As he said in an interview “Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able,”

Pitt was previously married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston and their divorce became final in October 2006.

Before he entered the Sutton Place Hotel Saturday night, the 42-year-old actor stopped for a while to sign autographs and shake hands with the fans. The mass of fans were eagerly and overwhelmed to see him. “I‘m here because it‘s important and we want our film to be seen here,” he told reporters.

During the conference, he had no problem discussing everything involved his latest activities. He posed as a relaxed man, happy to be part of the “Babel” project. “I‘m just really happy,” he said. “Anytime you put a lot of work into it and it comes out nice – it really goes to the cast and Alejandro. He did an exquisite job – an amazing job.”

As photographers in the media room persistently took stolen shots of him and the rest of the “Babel” crew he exclaimed, “Oh my God, the cameras!‘‘, always keeping a charming smile on his face.

During the press conference he highly praised his cast mates and director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. He revealed that he was “taken down a notch” by his work with regular people during the filming in Morocco. The cast he was talking about was formed of Morocco residents living in the village where Babel‘s crew were filming.

Regarding “Babel”, Pitt said he doesn’t have a problem with his kids watching the movie, even if it includes certain scenes involving nudity and violence, but he wasn’t sure about previous movies of his.

However, it seems that Pitt takes advantage of all his recent interviews to bring up his role as a father. He said that being a father to Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara has an influence on the parts he takes and the ones he will perform in the future.

“(Fatherhood) definitely colors what I‘ll approach in the future. I‘ll try to be a little bit more mature about my decisions, but this one I‘ll be proud for them to see, once they‘re old enough to really understand it.”

“Yeah I do think about what they are going to see and certainly some of the stuff I have done what they are going to see when they grow up and I am a little concerned,

“Being a father now … it becomes your big worry,‘‘ he said. “It becomes the one thing that keeps you up at night and how can you protect your children.‘‘

“I really believe in films as entertainment first. If they can illuminate some kind of idea I am all for it, but it is not a mission of mine be any means,” as explained by the actor.

“For me, I consider myself more a citizen of the world, and I have great pride as I sit up here with all the people from different cultures, and know that we all came together,” he added.

Brad Pitt is starring in “Babel” with Cate Blanchett as a couple who are spending their vacation in Morocco when she gets shot. The story carries on in Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico and Japan as the film keeps switching between three steadily unraveling narrative threads to proffer insights into the relationship between North and South, East and West, rich and poor, young and old, building an ambitious political fable based on lack of communication.

After its premiere in Toronto, “Babel” is set for North American theatrical release in October 27.
