Pattaya, 4th January 2011 [Pattaya Daily News], at 19.00 Pol. Lt. Kampanat Navichai, and Pol. Gen. Nathapong Saengarun, along with a troop of officials, arrested vendors that had opened stalls and booths on the sidewalks selling counterfeit handbags and belts to tourists in front of Mike Shopping Mall and the Windy Market, Pattaya Beach Rd Moo 9 Nongphrue Banglamung Chonburi.

The officials were able to arrest 2 vendors selling copies of Louis Vuitton handbags in the area in front of the Windy market, Pattaya Beach Rd. They were identified as Mr.Drailert Hengtrakun, 40, residing at 183/296 Moo 10 Nongphrue Banglamung Chonburi and Mr.Jamnien Phankaen, 31, residing at 81/39 Moo 6 Nongphrue Banglamung Chonburi. The officials confiscated over 100 fake Louis Vuitton handbags.

Another fake Louis Vuitton handbag stall was found in front of the Mike’s Shopping Mall, where the police were able to impound over 200 counterfeit bags. The vendor ran off at the sight of the police, leaving his stall and its bags behind. The overall value of the confiscated bags is estimated to be over 300,000 THB.
