Facebook Accounts Closed

The TCSD (Technology Crime Suppression Division) warned Facebook users not to revealed information about police checkpoints which some users had already done.

PATTAYA – Recently [PattayaDailyNews]; according to the case that Pol.Maj.Gen.Somyod Pumpanmuang-commander- had ordered TCSD to investigate web pages and websites including FACEBOOK that had revealed the whereabouts of police checkpoints. These social media sites had posted information about traffic checkpoints, and alcohol checkpoints.


Some pages warned people to prepare for inspections their and revealed information of their whereabouts and this is illegal according to Thai law.


On 10th June reporters revealed that Facebook pages had revealed the information about checkpoints in Pattaya.


In addition, some Facebook users dared officers by posting a picture which contained the text you won’t close my page. Also some pages shared information where the police checkpoints were.


However, reporters added that some Facebook pages had been closed already.
