The explosion of nitrogen or vacuum gas oil hydrotreating: VGOHT not only affects the quality of overall environment but also affects the health of villagers and can cause cancer.

The president revealed that the similar incident has happened in the past but there has not been any action taken by the concerned authorities such as the industry of Rayong or the Department of Industrial. This doesn’t prevent the incident from occurring again.

For the recent fire breaks out after explosion at IRPC, it was agreed that NCPO’s involvement would lead to the effective long term solution. Additionally, the IRPC plant must be responsible to the damage caused to both to the environment and public. In the event that the concerned agencies ignore the responsibility they must execute, the Association will then need to exercise legal prosecution to the court.
