Expat Harmed By Van Driver

Foreign passenger was extorted and attacked by van driver.

PATTAYA-14 March-[PattayaDailyNews]; at 12.00pm Chonburi police were notified that a foreigner was attacked injured by a taxi driver and the incident took place in front of Nernsutthawat monastery. The police officers were suddenly sent to inspect the crime scene.

 

At the location the officers found Mr Cayron Daffy aged 25 from Ireland waiting for the police officers. Fortunately, Miss Tanida Udomklangthanabadee aged 38 could took a photo of taxi van. She told the officers that she saw the foreigner had argued with the driver before the driver pushed him down from the van and driving away.

Initially, the patrol team recommended the victim to go to police station in order to officially notify the incident to police officer.

 

Mr Cayron said that he came to Pattaya to re-new his passport and he caught the van to go back to his accommodation in Minburi. Later he was on the van until he reached Chonburi and there was no other passenger so the driver requested 2,000 baht from him but he didn’t grant.

 

He added that he always took the van from Pattaya to Bangkok and standard fare is around 200 baht so he argued with the driver before the driver pushed him off the van and took his 2,500 baht.

 

However, the police officers would hunt this bad driver further.
