Following a report received at 6.20 pm, Police Lieutenant Colonel Tawatchai Sutsakorn and his rescue team went to a room on the 2nd Floor of PP.House, in Soi Naklua to find the dead body of Mrs. Lilian, dressed in a blue swimming suit, lying on her side, on the floor between the bed and the TV. She was bleeding from a 10 cm. long wound on the back of her head, but there was no evidence of any disturbance or anything untoward.

Questioned her tearful husband, whose name has been withheld, police learnt that they had rented the room three months ago and on the day of the incident, he had gone out while his wife said she was going for a swim off Wong Amat Beach. On returning to their room, he found the body of his wife lying on the floor, dead. He presumed that she must have fallen over and struck her head on the floor, causing her death.

Police will send her body to the morgue for further examination and will later arrange for the British Embassy to collect her body, probably for repatriation.
