At the scene on a bed behind at the back of a grocery store the officers found the body of Mrs Aphichaya Nopphamas, aged 60, a resident of Tambon Ta Khian Tia, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province. She was badly decomposed and there was a mosquito net tied around her neck which was covering her face. The officers assumed that she had been dead for approximately 24 hours.
Upon inspecting the area around the scene the officers found under wear, a mobile phone case, a 2 metre iron bar and some clothes near the back door which the officers assumed they belonged to the murderer. Also the red Toyota Yaris car, license no. 1 Kor Or 3934 Bangkok, which belonged to the deceased was missing.

Upon questioning some local people they said that Mrs. Aphichaya Nopphamas lived by herself and she was a kind hearted and generous with a good sense of humor. Before the incident occurred she closed her grocery store at 8.00 p.m. and wasn’t seen for several days so the neighbours thought that she might have gone to visit her son at Bangkok because her car had gone. Then the neighbours noticed a bad smell coming from her house so they notified the police.
