Elderly British Disabled Man Found Dead In Bathroom

An elderly British disabled man was found dead in his condominium bathroom in Pattaya. The police assumed that he might have fallen over hitting his head on the floor. After inspecting his room there was no trace of fighting or foul play.

PATTAYA – February 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.30 p.m. Pol.Lt. Kwanchai Numkhanitsorn (Investigation officer of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi province) was notified that there was a foreign man who was found dead in a condo no. 243/560 on the 15th floor of View Taley 6 condominium on second road, central Pattaya, Moo 9, Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect at scene together with the rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmmasatharn Foundation, Pattaya city.

At the incident there was a wheelchair and the corpse of Mr. Alan John, aged 66, in the bathroom. He was found on his side and there was a strong smell of decomposition. There weren’t any wounds or traces of assault. The officers assumed that he had been dead approximately 4 days.

Upon investigating the employees of the condominium they told the police that Mr. Alan had stayed in this room alone and hadn’t seen him for 4 days. A maid went in to clean the floor in front of Mr. Alan’s room and could smell a decomposed odor so she asked the technician of condominium to use the alternative key to open Mr. Alan’s room and found Mr. Alan dead in the bathroom.

However, initially, the officers will send the corpse to perform an autopsy l in order to find the actual cause of Mr. Alan’s death and will coordinate with the officers of the British embassy.
