Egg Price in Pattaya Rises 5 Baht Due To Hot Weather

Egg prices in the market increase 5 baht per egg panel. It’s expected that hot weather had affected to the chickens to lay the eggs lesser. Eggs are insufficient in some area.

PATTAYA – May 19, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; The reporters of Pattaya Daily News reported the Egg prices survey in Poipet Market Soi Nernplubwarn and Naklua Market in Pattaya. They found that the eggs price has increased a few days ago. Each eggs size has risen about five baht per panel. Egg prices are expected to rise because of the hot weather which has affected to the chickens lay the eggs lesser. Egg size no.0 (biggest size) 125 baht per a panel, Egg size no.1 120 baht per a panel and Egg size no.2 and 3 115-110 baht per panel.

Ms.Nit – The egg seller in Poipet market- said that the egg price has increased and she has slightly dropped her revenue. She added that the most of customers which are the small bistro owner have complained that they have lost their profit. In addition, some operators have been increased the food prices.

Ms.Som – The eggs seller in the Naklua Market said that the suppliers have slightly decreased to provide the eggs but it’s still sufficient to meet the demand. She expected that the amount of eggs have decreased because of hot weather. Plus, she added that the supplier also said like this to her. However the egg price have increased, the demands are steady.

Even though egg prices have increased slightly, it’s still sufficient to meet the demands in Pattaya. However, egg size no.1 has been insufficient in some eastern provinces such as Chanthaburi.
