East Water To Develop Pattaya Water SystemPattaya and East Water have signed an agreement to recycle waste water from domestic sewage so it can be used for industrial use which will reduce the amount of water draining into the sea.
PATTAYA – June 15,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 13.30 pm Mr Itthipol Khunpluem-mayor of Pattaya- was accompanied with Mr Wittaya Chaysuwan-chief executive officer of East Water- and Mr Nipon Boondechanan-the manager- of the MOU water system of Pattaya city.
Mr Itthipol said that Pattaya they intended to develop Pattaya so it can become a world class tourist attraction in order to meet AEC. As a result, the officials have started to develop the infrastructure and they also intend to develop the water system; therefore, they plan to recycle waste water from domestic users so it can be used for industrial use. Also East Water will be in charge of setting up the new water system in Pattaya.
It’s expected that around 65,000 Cu.M of water which is drained into the sea will be recycled and used for industrial use. It’s expected that around 200,000 Cu.M of waste water will be recycled within 2 years.
Mr.Wittaya Chaysuwan-CEO of East water- added that UU (Universal Utilities) which was subsidiary of East Water will be in charge of the waste water treatment plant. Plus, they intended to effectively manage the water in Pattaya and nearby cities to meet demands. The plan is a prototype but its hoped that it will reduce waste water draining into the sea and will also cope with the water demand during a drought.
