Ms. Kaewkhun, a 24-year old durian seller had an idea of selling her durians via Facebook. According to Ms Kaewkhun, she has been growing durians for exporting for over 9 years. The Mon Thong is the bestselling type of durian but she also sells Chanee, and Kradum Thong, most of which are exported to China. She began by asking her contacts on Facebook if they would be interested in trying top good quality durians that are hard to find in the markets. She would send samples for them to taste. Eventually many of them told their friends about it and then looked at her website to buy the durians online.

At present her customers are mainly located in Trad and nearby provinces like Rayong, Chonburi, and Bangkok. Some of the customers are also from the Northern provinces of Thailand. Delivery services can also be provided in two ways: 1) door-to-door service and 2) through a transportation company. The shipping cost varies from place to place and will be borne by the buyer themselves.

For shipping process. the durians will be nicely packed in cartons with adjustable air passage for 3-4 durians. Customers can contact the seller if there are any problems and she will exchange durians that are damaged.

Ms. Kaewkhun further shared her views and her experiences that selling products online is a good example of proactive market strategy especially in this progressive social media generation. She has also had an increasingly number of calls from customers showing their interest in her products.
