Drunken Thai Woman Saved From Drowning

A 38-year-old Thai woman who was very drunk was saved from drowning by her male friend after she wondered off into the sea off Pattaya beach.

PATTAYA – March 5,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 a.m., the radio centre officers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Rescue Foundation, Pattaya city, were notified that there was a woman drowned in Pattaya sea so the rescuers rushed to inspect at scene. The incident occurred in front of the Pla Thong seafood restaurant on Pattaya beach road, Moo 9 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.

 

At the scene the rescuers found the victim who was identified as Miss Sangwian Khiawnooch aged 38, she was very drunk and was unconscious on the beach. Also at the scene was Mr. Boonsong Suwanchaiyo, aged 20, who was her friend that jumped into the sea to help her. The rescuers performed the first aid on her before sending her to Banglamung hospital.

 

Upon questioning Mr. Boonsong which he told the rescuers that before incident occurred Miss Sangwian was sitting drinking alcohol with him and some other friends. About 30 minutes later he noticed that she had gone missing so everybody started looking for her and then they saw her walking into the sea. Mr. Boonsong then rushed to help her before notifying the rescuers.

 

However, the doctors at Banglamung hospital managed to save her life and she was recovering in hospital. Her friends said that she was very drunk and was a very poor swimmer which is why she got into difficulty before she was rescued by Mr. Boonsong .
