Drunken Painter Drowns in Mabprajan Reservoir

A drunken painter who dived into Mabprajan reservoir to search for clams drowns. The police believe he drown because he was drunk.

PATTAYA-May 28, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 16.00 pm.Pol.Lt.Col.Theethat Arunjan-investigation inspector of Nong Prue police station-was notified that somebody had drowned in Mabprajan reservoir, Bang Lamung, Chonburi. The police rushed to the scene with the special marine team, Sawang Borriboon Thammasatharn rescue team and divers.
 
At the scene was the body of a Thai man aged around 35-40 years old who was found by four divers after they searched for him for around an hour.
 
Upon questioning Mr Thawee Simmakul 45 year old decorator told police that he had only knew the man for a day and before the incident occurred they were sat drinking together at a labour camp before they moved to the reservoir.
After investigating the police expected that he had drowned because he was drunk. Initially the rescue team sent the body to Bang Lamung hospital for an autopsy to find the cause of death.
