DRUNKEN MAN CRASHES A TRUCK INTO A SIDECAR MOTORBIKE, KILLS A WOMAN ON THE SPOT

A drunken factory worker sped on his truck late at night. He harshly crashed into a sidecar motorbike that a woman was a rider. The truck dragged along the body of the woman for fifty meters and finally hit to a wall. Poor woman was killed instantly.

On 20 November 2007, at 03.00AM, Pol.Capt. Somkid Hiengsatien, San-suk station, was notified of a crash around Bang Saen beach road and one person was killed. Police team rushed to the incident and found a silver bronze Toyota truck, license 4282, Chonburi, was turned over. Mr. Wuthinan Wongming, (29), from Nakornphanom province, the truck driver, crashed his truck into a Yamaha Mate, sidecar motorbike without license plate. Mrs. Sureeporn Wongsrithong, (24), from Bang Saen, the sidecar motorbike rider, was crushed and killed.
A bystander saw the truck was on a very high speed, coming from Sukhumvit junction, going down to Bang Saen beach. It was late at night and there was no car or tourists around. The truck crashed into a sidecar motorbike and dragged along Mrs. Sureeporn who was stuck to the truck for about fifty meters. The truck had swept off many trees along the side road and finally hit to a wall to come to a stop.

Mr. Wuthinan, the truck driver, who was intoxicated, hesitantly said that he did not know what he had crashed into. He was puzzled to see a dead body by the side of his truck. He had not sustained any injury himself. Therefore, police detained Mr. Wuthinan and took him for breathalyzer at Saen Suk police station. Police also found more than ten empty beer cans hanging at the back of his truck.

Relative of Mrs. Sureeporn rushed to the incident. Her mother cried out with heart broken to see the dead body of her daughter. She said that she had her daughter to go out collecting food scraps from shops in order to feed their pigs. Usually, she goes out with her daughter, but she was not feeling well then her daughter went out on her own. She was thinking that she would ask her other son to go to help. She was very shocked when somebody had come to inform her that her daughter had a car accident in front of Prayote Electric shop, Bang Saen beach road. She rushed to the incident and found her daughter was killed on the spot.

Officials had recorded the incident. Mr. Wuthinan was charged of carelessness, drinking alcohol to cause lost of life and government properties.
