Drunken Driver Collides With Overpass Pillar In Pattaya

A drunken woman who drove her car at speed collided with an overpass pillar. Once the police arrived at the scene she scolded and kicked them before the police handcuffed her.

PATTAYA – August 31, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 02.00 am Pol.Lt.Kwanchai Numkanitsorn-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a car had crashed into an overpass pillar on the Sukhumwit road, Central Pattaya. After notification the police and Sawang Borriboon rescueteam immediately rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene the officers found a Toyota Altis which had collided with an overpass pillar and the front of the car had been severely damaged. The car was being driven by a Thai woman aged approximately 20-25, who was drunk. She had suffered some minor injuries and tried to escape but was quickly captured in front of Bangchak gas station opposite the scene.

However she verbally abused and kicked the police and also pushed a reporter camera. Therefore the police needed to handcuff her before taking her to police station in order to prosecute her.

 

Initially the police officers had questioned the witnesses and they said that they saw the car being driven at speed heading to South Pattaya. When the car reached the scene, it lost control mounted the footpath before colliding with the overpass pillar.
