Pattaya, the 1st of May 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: At approximately 1:00am on Saturday, Police Major Kriangkraiwut Bualah (Pattaya Police Investigator) was notified of a knife attack on a foreigner in Soi 6, Pattaya Second Road. A team of police along with the Sawang Boriboon Foundation were dispatched to the scene to investigate the incident further.

At the scene, police were confronted by Mr. Anthony Gayunld (surname unconfirmed) [29] an Australian national, believed to have been in Pattaya on holiday. Mr. Gayunld was suffering from several severe lacerations to his back and head after having had an altercation with a fellow group of tourists, unknown nationalities. Rescue personnel immediately rendered first aid to Mr. Gayunld after his refusal to visit the hospital.

Several eye-witnesses to the incident confirmed that Mr. Gayunld had been involved in a fight with a group of foreigners [3-4 men] in relation to an unknown disagreement that had occurred between them. The group of men had allegedly used a knife or knives to cut Mr. Gayunld who was seen to be in an extremely intoxicated state.

Following treatment by the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, Mr. Gayunld was escorted to the Pattaya Police Station to make a statement and assist the police in their attempts to apprehend the group of offenders. Due to his intoxicated nature, efforts to gain information in regards to the incident proved impossible, as such the police have now released Mr. Gayunld with investigations to proceed when he is sober.

The officials took Mr. Gayunld to the police station to investigate. However he was in a drunken state and cannot give fully information. The police let him go to his place and have a rest and they will investigate more and would try to bring the attackers to the justice.
