PATTAYA – December 10, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10 p.m., a report of a woman being seriously injured after falling from a 6th-floor condominium was received by the rescue officer of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation. He notified the police and rushed to the scene with a rescue team and an ambulance.

The incident occurred at the View Talay condominium, A building, second Jomtien road. At the scene, many people were standing around and watching.

Rescuers aided the victim, identified as Ms. Tabtim Vibul, age 25, from Roi-Et province. She was lying down on the grass field and crying out in pain. Her British boyfriend, identified as Mr. Tim Dorto, was standing close to her with great worry. The rescue officer and the doctor performed first aid on the victim and then sent her to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital.

Police questioned the victim’s adoptive mother, identified as Mrs. Somjai Kerdsri, age 47. She told police that her daughter had been living with Mr. Tim for nearly a year in their 6th floor condo. They have a son together who is 1 year and 3 months old.

Before incident occurred, her daughter had gone out to drink liquor with her friends, and when she returned to the condo, she had the smell of liquor coming from her body. So Mr. Tim asked her if she had gone out to drink liquor because he could smell the liquor strongly.

But Mrs. Somjai had no idea why her daughter would feel so hurt by Mr. Tim’s comments that she would walk to the balcony and jump off, and fall 6 stories and get severely injured. Rescue officers will coordinate with the police to investigate further and try to find the real cause of this suicide attempt.
