Drunk Russian Hallucinates Her Daughter Drowned

A hysterical Russian woman who appeared to be drunk caused a commotion at Jomtien beach, by claiming her 16-year-old daughter had drowned while they were swimming together. Witnesses said the woman had come alone to the beach. Police then located her daughter sleeping in their hotel room.

PATTAYA – December 27, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; a report of a woman claiming her daughter had drowned in the ocean was received by the radio dispatcher of the Sawang Boriboon Pattaya foundation.

A tourist reported that a Russian woman swimming in a frantic manner in the sea, by repeatedly diving and surfacing. When the tourist went to help her, the woman said that her 16-year-old daughter had drowned in the sea.

So the tourist reported the woman’s claim to the police, who rushed to the scene with the sea rescuers. When officers got there, they found a big crowd around the woman, who was weeping and making loud noises of distress.

The Russian woman then tried to run into the sea. But when the police and tourists tried to help, she slapped the police and the tourists who tried to restrain her from running into the sea.

When officers questioned the hysterical woman, who seemed drunk, she said that she had been swimming with her 16-year-old daughter, and while they were holding hands in the sea, their hands slipped apart and her daughter drowned in the ocean.

When officer questioned onlookers on the beach, they told the police that the woman had come to the beach alone, and they did not see anyone with her.

Police then discovered the Russian woman had rented a room in the Jomtienthanee hotel on soi 5 in Jomtien. So police checked the room and found the woman’s daughter sleeping in the bed.

After the drunk Russian lady was informed that her daughter was sleeping in their room, she walked back to her hotel like nothing had happened. And the police and all the tourists got relieved.
