Drugs Addicts and Snatchers Arrested In Pattaya

Pattaya police made a statement about the arrest of 4 snatchers and 10 teenage drug addicts after the snatchers had been caught on CCTV and the drug addicts where reported to the police by the local villagers.

PATTAYA – July 22, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 13.30 pm Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-deputy commander of Chonburi and acting superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Pol.Lt.Col.Pairoj Petchploy-acting deputy superintendent-, Pol.Lt.Col.Kowit Sawasmongkol-inspector- were accompanied with police officers who made a statement about the arrest of 4 snatchers had snatched belongings off foreigners. The police had arrested Mr.Suppakiet (Pond) Chiangkaew aged 20, Mr.Surachet (Ton) Komolwanich aged 23, Mr.Somsak (Bang Soup) Kaewsuwan aged 32 and Mr.Suwat (Jack) Somkhane aged 33 with 4 necklaces, 2 sacred gold items, 2 gold rings, 57,000 baht, 9mm Glock pistol with 36 bullets, 2 motorcycles and a car.

Pol.Col.Suppatee revealed that in the morning of July 20th Mr.Lim Sylvain aged 36 from France notified the police that he had his gold necklace with 2 gold sacred items snatched off him by 2 men while he was on a baht bus Soi Chaiyapruek road, Jomtien. The police officers had inspected the scene and collected the CCTV footage from around the area and were then able to arrest Mr.Suppakiet and Mr.Surachet who were the snatchers before they arrested the remaining 2 gang members. They had committed this type of crime on foreigners about 10 times before. Therefore they were questioned before being prosecuted. Also the police made a statement about the arrest of 10 teenagers who had been taking drugs in Ban Kwang Koh Larn after villagers reported them to the police.
