The incident occurred in rooms 106 and 107 of the Riviera Resort hotel, Soi Na Kleu 16/1 Pattaya-Na Kleu road Moo 5 Tambon Na Kleu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

At the scene, police discovered there were two connected Suite rooms that the victims were staying in. One victim was identified as Mr. Almet, who was wearing boxer shorts and sitting in a daze. His friend, identified as Mr. Nihat, was lying unconscious.

The belongings of the men were scattered in disarray around the room. Officers discovered that the two room safes were missing. The thieves had used a screwdriver and a big chisel to pry the safes from the bracket mounts. Police also found opened bottles of green tea drinks, which they kept for evidence, as well as the discarded tools.

Police questioned the hotel staff, who said that on the previous night, the two Turkish tourists brought two women to have sex in the room with. But when the front desk clerk asked for their identity cards, the two women did not comply. Then the two couples went into the hotel rooms.

The hotel staff later discovered the Turks had been drugged and robbed, so they called the police. During questioning, the dazed Turks told police they met the two women at the Dolphin roundabout. The women had offered their massage services, which the Turks accepted. Then they bought some drinks at the minimart before going to their hotel rooms.

Then the two Turks fell unconscious in the room. When they later awoke, they discovered the room safes containing their property had been stolen. The safes had contained $40,000 in U.S. dollars, 100,000 THB cash and two cellphones, which altogether were worth about 1 million THB.

After their initial investigation, the police took the victims to the hospital for checkups. Officers will follow up to track down the two thieving women from the CCTV footage that recorded their images. However, the police have to wait for the victims to recover from their drugging so they can question them in detail to get more information.
