Drug Smugglers Arrested

Police arrested six suspects for smuggling 400,000 amphetamine tablets at the parking lot of the Suvarnabhumi Airport.

n3BANGKOK – September 15, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Narcotic Department officials detained 6 suspects who are Mr.Pracha Sefang, Mr.Wanchai Saeyang, Mr. Sakariya Sirow, Mr. Abrahim Nako, Mr. Ahana Sira, and Mrs. Chanredi Tipbua for smuggling 400,000 amphetamine tablets wrapped in a foil packet. The drugs were hidden in the back lights of Isuzu D Max blue color, license plate number 1589 Bangkok and Isuzu D Max black color, license plate number 3012 Bangkok, Toyota Yaris license plate number 6457 Bangkok. Suppliers were waiting on the fifth floor, zone three at the Suvarnabhumi Airport. The police received reports that the drugs will be sent to the southern province and therefore make their way to arrest the drug suppliers.

Pol.Gen Praewphan Damaphong, Pol.Gen. Advisor to the Prime Minister, Somyot Phunphanmuang and Pol.Gen Chaiwan Chotima , inquired these drug dealers and they confessed that they had been hired by suppliers to drive to the Airport and from there a car will lead them to the three provinces in the South so that it could be delivered to other agents. They are paid 100,000 for delivering these drugs. The police have now detained them so that further inquiries and investigations can be held.
