Drug Dealer Fled From Police And Crashed Into A Sewer Disjointing His Peg Leg

The Sattahip sheriff made a plan for an officer to go undercover to purchase narcotics from an 18-year-old male drug dealer, but he noticed the police and tried to flee the scene on his motorbike, lost control and crashed into a sewer disjointing his right leg.

SATTAHIP – March 11, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10.00 a.m. Mr. Phawat Lertmookda (Sattahip sheriff, Chonburi Province) and Mr. Chawat Thepthap (Deputy District Chief of Stability Division) and forces of the special operation officers of National Command Centre for Combating Drugs (NCCD), Amphur Sattahip, together mobilized forces with the detective police team of Phlu Ta Luang police station to go undercover to purchase narcotics. They arrested a Mr. A (alias), aged 18, with the allegation of having narcotics type 1, 5 in his possession for selling. He had 43 amphetamine pills and 28 bags of marijuana bars 2.99 g in weight. He was also had a gun and ammunition in his possession which was illegal. It was a Thai handmade shotgun no. 12 and 9 bullets.

Mr. Phawat Lertmookda (Sattahip sheriff) revealed that the officers had detected that the defendant had been selling drugs and acted as an influencer in the area so the officers mobilized forces together with the local police to follow up his arrest. The police went undercover to purchase 20 amphetamine pills from the drug dealer, so they had a defendant who had been previously arrested for drugs to call the dealer to make an appointment to deliver amphetamines on the side of the road at the entrance to Sirisa village 10, Tambon Phlutaluang, Amphur Sattahip. Upon arriving at the arranged meeting place the dealer noticed the police and tried to flee the scene by dodging the police but further up the road the police had a road block where he lost control and fell into a sewer in front of Soi Suan Phlu 47 . He was quickly arrested but had disjointed his right peg leg where the officers found 20 pills of amphetamines that were hidden inside a straw inside the peg leg.

Afterwards, the officers searched his room in Thossaphon Car Care, address 121/259 Moo 3 Tambon Phlu Ta Luang, where they found a lot of amphetamines, marijuana and a shotgun. He confessed that all of the exhibits belonged to him and he bought the shotgun from a Mr. Jak for 6,000 THB which he used to threaten drug customers that didn’t pay. He also said that he received the drugs from a big amphetamine agent whose nickname was Jak Khao-bai-sri so the officers are now searching to arrest him because they knew that Mr. Jak threw a bomb in the area of Amphur Sattahip. Also the defendant told police that Mr. Jak had gathered weapons in order to fight against police officers to the death if they tried to arrest him. Later the superior police commanded his officers to hunt down Mr. Jak and arrest him quickly because he was posing a danger to the public. He also added that if Mr. Jak resists or fights back against the officers then they must operate decisively.
