Drug addicted teenager snatches bag on Pattaya beach

A drug addicted teenager who had just came out of jail after serving a sentence for drugs snatched a bag on beach road but was quickly arrested.

PATTAYA – May 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 a.m.; Pol.Lt. Jakkrit Jantakham (Inquiry Official on duty of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi Province) was notified that there was a snatching incident at the beginning of Soi 12, Pattaya beach road, and he had been at the beginning of Soi 13 with the stolen exhibit, so he rushed to inspect at scene.

At the incident, the police found the officers had detained the thief who was identified as Mr. Samrit Yingnok, aged 29, from Nakhon Phanom Province. He was caught with 1 black bag which contained documents and 140 THB inside.

Upon questioning Mr. Ussana Udomsri, aged 41, Si Sa Ket resident, he told the police that while he was walking home along the beach suddenly Mr. Samrit (the trouble maker) walked up behind him and hit his head with the hard object before snatching his bag and fleeing the scene. He shouted for assistance and the thief was caught by local people.

Initially, Mr. Samrit (the trouble maker) confessed to the snatching and claimed that he just came out from jail after serving a sentence for drugs on May 12, 2014 and he was still unemployed and decided to snatch a bag to get some money.
After initial investigation then the police detained the defendant to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
