Dr.Weerawat Khakhai-deputy mayor of Pattaya- revealed that they had been working on the project for 2 months and they had already finished about 60-70 % of the work. They had marked out a line to indicate the edge of the canal before they had dredged and dismantled the buildings which have been built over and into the canal. However 3 people who have built buildings overlapping into the canal were still silent and hadn’t done any dismantling as ordered by the officials around 2 months ago. The officers had sent them orders to dismantle their builds and if they still refuse to do anything the officials will send contractors to dismantle their buildings immediately.
