DOH To Construct Motorway From Pattaya to Map Ta Phut

The department of Highways have announced the construct of the new motorway from Pattaya to Map Ta Phut. It will use a total of ,308 rais of land to construct and it’s expected to be finished in 2016.

PATTAYA – July 4, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- Mr.Chatchawan Booncharoenkit-director of EXAT (Expressway Authority of Thailand) revealed a 1.5 billion baht budget for the 32 kilometers of Pattaya-Map Ta Phut motorway. It’s expected to be completed in 2017.

 

While Bang Pa In-Nakon Ratchasima motorway which is 196 kilometers of length and 84,600 million baht of budget, EXAT will offer to construct part of it from Bang Pa In-Pak Chong which is 98 km.It’s expected the start of construction will be in 2016 because of the cost. Plus MOF (Ministry of Finance) hadn’t allotted the money yet therefore the construction company will need to loan the money or find it from an investment private sector as well as BangYai-Ban Pong-Kanjanaburi expressway which is 96 length and a 55,600 million baht budget.

 

Pattaya-Map Ta Phut expressway will be constructed through 2 provinces and 11 districts which consist of Nong Plalai district, Na Klua district, Pong district, Nong Prue district, Hauy Yai district, Bang Lamung district, Plu Ta Luang district and Sattahip district which located in Chonburi and Samnak Krathon district, Pla district and Ban Chang district which located in Rayong.

 

It’s expected that the beginning of the project will be completed this year and will connect Chonburi to Pattaya. The expressway is alongside Bang Lamung district and connect s the Sukhumwit road at Ban Chang district which is the end of the project. It will be a 4 lane toll motorway at a charge of 1 bhat per km and if you drive the full length it will coast 51 bhat. Along the toll road there will be 5 checkpoints.

 

It’s expected that the expressway will make travelling to eastern parts easier, faster and cheaper. Plus it could improve the logistics from Suvannabhumi airport to Laem Chabang port and Map Ta Phut industrial estate.
