DJ Accidentally Finds Her Stolen Car

A radio DJ from Sattahip who is also a local journalist accidentally found her car whilst she was out working. The car had been reported stolen by her on January 27th.

SATTAHIP – April 3,2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; from the case of Miss Sukanwalee Suwarn, 49 years old radio DJ, and a local journalist came to notify Pol.Lt.Capt.Napat Tongdee, officer of the shift that her car a Toyota Yaris, silver bronze, Kor Chor 6689, Rayong, was stolen while it was parked in front of her house. She also took the CCTV images to the police of the theft on January 27.

The progress of the case from January 27th was that at 15.00pm of April 3, while she was out working as a journalist she accidentally found her car at a Navy House village, 14, Bangsare, Sattahip.

The driver a Miss Pornnatcha Samornrit, 19 years old claimed to police that the car belonged to Mr.Somsak Thammajinda, 38 years old, who is the little brother of a former municipality member Kai. Mr.Somsak got the car from a pawn shop that Mr.Nattakorn Pintong, 21 years old had pawned in Banglamung. She also said that she used the car as normal not knowing its history. Initially the police accused her of buying stolen goods and stealing other people’s property at night and will find the thief to punish him by law.

Miss Sukanwalee Suwarn, the journalist who got her the car back un-expectantly said that she was working in the area where somebody had told her that there was a car that looked like her stolen one. Whilst out working she noticed her car and the licence plates had also been changed. The car was stolen on January 26, at 21.00 pm. Also stolen from inside the car was a video camera, worth 50,000 baht, a monk pendant worth around 20,000 baht, supplementary food worth around 30,000 baht, and 7,000 baht, a total of 707,000 baht including the car had been stolen so she contacted the police. Although the belongings in the car haven’t been recovered she was very pleased to have her car back.
