This was in evidence, yet again, today, 16 December,2008, when, at 4.30 am, Police Colonel Sarayut Sa-Nguanpokai, Pattaya Superintendent, was notified that there was a teenage gang who made a habit of hanging around a shop near Jomtien Beach Road to buy and sell Yah Bah. He accordingly sent a police team to investigate.

The investigating team set up a sting operation to buy the tablets in front of a food store in front of Jomtien Complex Condotel, where they had been informed drug dealing was in progress.

One of the minor dealers, Mrs. Tanomjit Jamungdee[36], duly turned up at the location to deliver her goods, while the police lay in wait and then identified themselves. Police found 7 tablets in her pocket, which she confessed to having bought from a Mr. Boy in Ban Amphur, for Bt150 each, intending to sell them for Bt300. Through their sting operation, the police team managed to arrest several more young people and their goods as follows:

Mr. Payoo Tabkornburi [ 26], From Chaiyapoom, with 26 tablets;
Miss. Napaporn Kanraksa, aka Ann, [ 26] from U-dorn Thani, possessing 5 tablets, which she claimed she had bought from a Mr. Toom for Bt1300;

Mr. Nokorn Ratchkuan, aka Ood [ 18], from Pitsanulok, who was carrying 20 tablets, which he claimed he had bought from someone in Soi Jomtien 2 for Bt5,000.

Besides these, police also arrested Mr. Don Prachoomdee [26], who, when urine tested, was discovered to have been taking Yah Bah.

Police took them all to Dongtan Police Station where Police Captain Pathipat Boonlee, the Duty Police Investigator, duly charged them and they will face future prosecution.
