Daring Three Car Robbery

A thief smashed the windows of three cars which were parked near a temple for a funeral, then stole their contents, including personal belongings and valueables.

Sriracha, 6th January 2011 [Pattaya Daily News] : At 9.30 pm Police Captain Suthi Janthana of Sriracha Police Station was notfified that robbery of belonings from three cars had occurred by smashing the windows. These cars were parked at Phibulsanatam Temple (Moo-3) at Surasak in Sirracha to attend a funeral, so police officers went immediately to the scene to take fingerprints and make investigations.

The damaged cars were those of the people who had gathered at the Temple of Phibulsanatam to take part in funeral prayers at the praying room of the temple. When they came back they saw that their cars windows had been smashed and their belonging in their cars gone. The first car was a bronze Chevrolet, (license กล-8977 Chonburi), and the right, back window was samshed. The car owner Mr. Chainarong Phuwadon, 44, reported that the items that were stolen from the car included 1-Acer latop, 2-mobile phones and a pile of 50-lottery tickets worth 40,000 Baht.

The second car was a black Ford pick-up truck, (license ผข-3171 Chonburi), with the left ,front window smashed. The owner of the car Mr. Chamnay Pimsaeng, 51, reported that only his bag was missing, but it contained various important documents.

The third car was a black Toyota Camry, (license ษฉ-8275 Bangkok), and the small back triangular window smashed. The owner of the car Ms.Pecharrat Udomtasanee, 43, reported that only her bag was in the car and went missing; – however her bag contained 5,000 Baht cash, her ID, and 3-ATM cards.

Police officials have obtained fingerprints of the thief in order to idenitfy him and trace his whereabouts, because altogether this thief stole items worth over 100,000 Baht in value.
