General Situation
The rather strong high pressure from China will extend to cover Thailand by tomorrow (1 Jan). During 1-3 January 2015, the upper portion of Thailand will receive cooler weather and dropping by 2-3 °C. Cold with temperature below 15 °C is expected in the North and the Northeast while some possible frost occurs on mountaintops.

 

The strong northeast monsoon will prevail over the South and the Gulf of Thailand until 3 January 2015. The strong wind waves are likely 2-4 meters high in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward. Residents along the coast should beware of inshore surge. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
