General Situation
The low pressure covers the upper North of Thailand and upper Myanmar, and the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundant rain remains over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast and the South West Coast. People in risky areas should beware of possible flash flood. The provinces include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Tak, Phetchabun, Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket.

 

During 5-9 August, the monsoon trough will lie across upper Thailand, and the stronger southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Rainfall continues overall country with isolated heavy rain in the East and the South. The wave is expected 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
