General Situation

Another rather strong high pressure extends to upper Thailand. The northeast monsoon intensifies across the Gulf and the South of Thailand, and the low pressure will move through lower southern Thailand and Malaysia. Outbreaks of cool spells and strong winds are forecast over the North and the Northeast decreasing by 1-3 °C. A slight decrease in temperature is forecast for Bangkok and its vicinity while an increase in rain spells is forecast with isolated heavy to very heavy rain in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Trang and Satun. People should beware of severe weather and possible flash flood.

 

The wind waves in the Gulf will intensify 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore. People in the Gulf should beware of inshore surge.
