General Situation
The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand, and the monsoon trough moves lies across the upper part of the North and the Northeast of Thailand. More rain is likely over upper Thailand. The strong wind wave is expected in the upper Andaman Sea from Phuket upward with 2-3 meters of wave height. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.

 

Tropical storm “NANGKA” over central Japan downgraded to tropical depression and it will dissipate today (18 Jul). All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update during 1-2 days. This storm does not have a significant impact on Thailand.
