Croc Baiting Officially Banned

Department of fishery officially banned Elephant Kingdom for 90 days in case of croc baiting.

PATTAYA – July 17,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 10.00am Buncha Sukkaew, director of department of fishery, was accompanied with Niyom Budsa, officer of department of fishery, and around 20 officers inspected Elephant Kingdom in order to ban the operator after they allowed tourist to bait crocodile.

 

However, the officers met only employees so they posted a notice to ban the risky activity for a while.

 

Buncha revealed that the operator has been authorised to have these crocodile but the official judged that this is a kind of risk activity and they would have to ban the operator to operate the activity for 90 days. In addition, he added that the official doesn’t close the operator but the operator would have to be inspected by officials in purpose of safety of activity.

Meanwhile, Utane Yungprapakorn, director of elephant Kingdom, revealed that he didn’t receive the order because this is unfair. The official should submit him warning first. He added that he has operated Elephant Kingdom for 12 years and croc baiting has been available for a long time, he has never experienced this kind of problem.

 

However, a lot of tourists are attracted to Elephant Kingdom after this became big news on social media.
