Crimes Down 80% On Wan Lai DayDeputy Superintendent of Pattaya city police station has revealed that the large visual presence of police on Wan Lai day had reduced teenage arguments and fighting by 80% on previous years.
Pol.Lt.Col. Pawatchai Soodsakhorn (Deputy Superintendent of Pattaya city police station) revealed that as he had mobilized police teams to prevent and suppress crimes on Wan Lai Pattaya festival according to the policy from the Chon Buri Provincial Police Station by inspecting various points all over Pattaya. The police had a very large visual presence on Wan Lai day which resulted in only minor incidents being reported.
Pol.Lt.Col. Pawatchai said that the overall operation was 80% successful and the police had worked hard in order to provide help for all the tourists who took part in the festival.
The new strict rules which were enforced on people about splashing water resulted in the amount of teenagers arguing and fighting being significantly reduced on previous years which was very pleasing for all the hard work the police had put in.
