Couple Taken Bags Containing 400,000 Baht in Pattaya Market

A couple was taken their bags which contained money and gold valued about 400,000 baht as they were selling fruit in a Pattaya market.

PATTAYA – February 7,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 23.00 pm Pol.Capt.Wissanu Chaisuwan- deputy inspector of Pattaya police station- led the police officers to inspect the crime scene of plundering in food centre in south Pattaya.


At the scene where is fruit shop, the officers found a couple who are Mr.yuththapol Homsai aged 39 and Ms.Orathai Chiwindamrong aged 37 and they were the victim.


Upon questioning Ms.Orathai she revealed that she and her boyfriend had 2 bags contained 100,000 baht, several gold ornaments valued about 400,000 baht. They covered the bags with the gap as they were selling.

There were a lot of buyers on incident day and they just realised that they were taken their bags after the crowd had gone.


They added that they had the large amount of money in the bags because they had sold a lot of fruits during Chinese New Year and they had been always kept the gold ornament with themselves because they were afraid that the thief might steal it if they keep it in their house.


The police officers found out that there is no CCTV near the crime scene; however, they expected that the burglar might be someone who knows them well or their customer. The police officers would intensely investigate this case in order to catch the suspect as soon as possible.
