Pattaya police investigator, Pol. Lt. Col. Tanagrit LarpIttisan, rushed to the scene with a rescue team.

According to police, 31-year-old Pattaya resident, Mr. Chanwit thongchart [31] , residing at 237 Moo. 10 Nongprue, Banglamung, was driving a silver Honda Jazz at around 02.00 a.m. with his 25-year-old girlfriend Miss Bannarak Jaifun [25] from 66 Moo. 6 Pingloung, Nameun, Nan Province when he lost control of the car.

Their car left the road, slid down a slope and struck an electricity post. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The rescue team had difficulty removing the bodies from the badly damaged car. The couple appeared to be embracing, and police said Mr. Chanwit might have been drunk or they may have been arguing. The two dead bodies were covered with blood and their necks were broken.

Their bodies were sent to Banglamung Hospital and their relatives would be informed.
