Pattaya, 16th February 2011 [Pattaya Daily News] : At approximately 01.30am Pol. Capt. Narongdet Tanaphunsing (Pattaya Police Deputy Chief Inspector) together with Police Volunteers and Pattaya Security Volunteers caught Mr. Bader Mamo Alharshani Employee (31), a Kuwaiti national and his Thai wife, Miss Ornanong Mungkhiangklang (29), with the equipment for using Ya-ice at the rental room number 126, Preemar Place, 1st floor, South Pattaya, Nongprue, Banglamung. The offending pair were taken into custody to Pattaya Police Station pending further investigation.

The officer revealed that whilst they were patrolling to inspect the area approaching the stated apartment, he heard a woman crying for help loudly from the room’s balcony, causing the officer to investigate immediately. At the scene the officer discovered Miss Mungkhiangklang who was shakily crying out in a scared condition. She informed the officer that her husband, Mr.Employee, had assaulted her in an attempt to force her into using Ya-Ice together with him at the residence. After using the drug, Mr. Employee was in an intoxicated state, tried to beat his Thai wife again so she ran out to the balcony shouting for help.

On entering the room the officer found Mr. Employee using the Ya-Ice. The officer impounded the evidence and took the pair to the police station. Standard testing the couple’s urine produced the expected purple hues and both are charged with drug abuse. Miss Mungkhiangklang cried tearfully asking the police to release her husband claiming that she would not have money to take care of her family if her husband was incarcerated.

However the officer continued the judicial procedure as the evidence shows that the offence had indubitably been committed. The couple were then charged and will be remanded in custody pending prosecution.
