Conman Caught After Gold Tricking

A Thai man was arrested after he had tricked to sell fake gold ornament to an old man.

PATTAYA – March 2,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 23.00 pm Pol.Capt.Pallop Ringrod- deputy inspector of Pattaya police station- and police officers made the statement about arrest of Mr.Pakdee Nakasatid aged 46 with fake gold ornaments. He was identified by his victim Mr.Wichok Khakai aged 71.

 

In the afternoon of the incident day, the victim notified the police that Mr.Pakdee offered him for these gold ornaments for 150,000 baht because Mr.Pakdee urgently needed some money. Mr.Wichok decided to buy the gold and he paid Mr.Pakdee for 52,000 baht as deposit.

Later Mr.Pakdee went to a gold shop and he just found out that he bought the fake gold; therefore, he decided to notify the police officer. The officers had a plan to arrest Mr.Pakdee that Mr.Wichok called Mr.Pakdee to buy more ornament before the police officers immediately caught Mr.Pakdee.

 

Upon questioning the suspect he confessed that he bought these fake gold from a friend in Bangkok to resell. He claimed that he needed money to pay his football gambling debt.

 

In addition, Mr.Wichok told the police that he had been given energy booster by the suspect and he felt sleepy when he took it.
