College Coed Fails To Pass A Drug Sting

A female university student who had been selling drugs to pay for her tuition was arrested by police. She was caught with 12 methamphetamine pills stashed in her bra in a police sting operation. Police are also closing in to arrest a major drug dealer in Sattahip who supplied her the drugs.

SATTAHIP – July 26, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; At 2:30 a.m., an arrest of a university student selling drugs was announced by Mr.Phawat Lertmukda, the sheriff; Mr.Chawat Pettap, security permanent secretary; Ms. Radjai Banditsin, head of the sub district of Sattahip; and special officers from the National Command Center of Drugs Sattahip.

The suspect, Ms. Chutima Chuyim, 21, is a freshman student from the Faculty of Commercials at a private university. She is accused of possessing and trying to sell 12 Methamphetamine pills. She told police she had been using the money from drug sales to pay her tuition fee.

Also arrested for methamphetamine use was Suwitchai Sangjan, 36, living at 149 moo 3, Bangsare Sattahip Chonburi. The sheriff said that the arrest of Ms. Chutima was a follow-up investigation stemming from the previous arrest of Mr.Suwitchai, who had been her drug connection.

 

So the police had a scheme to entrap her. The police told Mr. Suwitchai to order 12 pills of meth from Ms. Chutima for 2400 baht, and told her to deliver it to him at his room. But when she arrived, she became suspicious, and did not sell the drugs. But the police showed themselves to arrest her, so she then confessed. She had hidden the drugs in a plastic bag stuffed in her bra, which she gave to the police, who held her for questioning.

Ms. Chutima told police that she had received the drug from a major dealer, Ms. Pornpan Tasanon, 30, a woman with a baby living at house number 26/77, soi Lanwattepprasat, moo 4, Sattahip, Sattahip. Ms. Chutima had recently gotten 100 pills from her but mostly the dealer had sold out her supply.

The sheriff then commanded 10 special officers from NCCD Sattahip to encircle the house to arrest the dealer.
