Clamp Down on Fake Brands

Pattaya officers have raided a department store after it was reported that there were fake goods being sold there.

PATTAYA-14th October- [PattayaDailyNews] at 21.00 pm Pol.Col.Teera Thomrayub- superintendent- was accompanied with officers from the Commercial Department- and authorized officers of Luis Vuitton, Rolex and Chanel companies to inspect a famous department store in Pattaya in order to crack down the counterfeited goods.

 

Upon inspection the officers inspected 13 shops and arrested 5 operators; however, the officers failed to catch another 8 suspects who ran off. The police then confiscated a lot of pirated named brands such as bags, clothes, shoes, watches and belts which were valued around 2 million baht.

 

Initially, the police officers detained the arrested suspected before sending them to the police station to be prosecuted according to Thai law.
