Chonburi Police Entrapped over 40 Motorbike Punk Kids

Police of Samet police station closed the road to entrap and arrest over 40 motorbike punk kids (the reckless motorbike driving youths) most of them were teenagers and children. They were arrested because they ride around at high speed making lots of noise and have no regard for other road users which annoys people.

CHONBURI – July 6, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.30 a.m., Pol.Col. Kittiphat Phongphanas (Superintendent of Samet police station, Amphur Mueang, Chonburi) and Pol.Lt.Col. Sanan Khongrat (Deputy Superintendent), Pol.Lt.Col. Charn Parnmanee (Inspector) and Pol.Lt.Col. Narongsak Wongkalasin (Inspector) mobilized forces of approximately 60 volunteer police to close the Sukhumvit road in the area in front of Tesco Lotus department store, entrance route to Mueang Chonburi, Moo 1 Tambon Samet, Amphur Mueang, Chonburi province.

 

They stopped and arrested groups of motorbike punk kids that raced around at high speed and made lots of noise which annoyed people but when they saw the police they tried to flee the scene and some of them rode into Tesco Lotus department car park where they parked their motorbikes and ran away. Finally, the police arrested 42 motorbike punk kids which consisted of male and female teenagers and children, aged between 13-20, and seized 53 motorbikes.

 

Pol.Col. Kittiphat said that the mobilization of officers to entrap the motorbike punk kids who rode at high speed and made lots of noise that annoyed many people was to comply with the policy of Pol.Maj.Gen. Sanit Mahathaworn (Acting Commissioner, Section 2). Initially, the police charged the arrested motorbike punk kids with the allegation of riding recklessly without regard to the safety of others before sending them to the inquiry official to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
