Chon Buri Police Raid Patttaya Entertainment Spots

Chon Buri police have raided 3 entertainment spots in Pattaya where they found guns, ketamine and shisha.

PATTAYA – November 29, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.00 a.m., Pol.Col. Thitawat Suriyachai (Superintendent of Chon Buri Provincial Police Station) together with Pol.Lt.Col. Chitdecha Songhong (Deputy Superintendent of Chon Buri Provincial Police Station) and Pol.Lt.Col. Thanaphan Janthep (Inspector of Special Operating Agency) mobilized forces of plainclothes police, special operation officers of National Command Centre for Combating Drugs (NCCD), sniffer dogs and over 40 metropolitan police to attack to inspect 3 entertainment spots on Pattaya 3rd road, Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.

Upon inspecting the 1st entertainment spot, the officers found ketamine in 10 small bags which were hidden in a cigarette pack in the possession of Mr. Sitthichok Kootto, aged 22. In the 2nd venue the officers found 3 men who were carrying guns who were identified as Mr. Wutthichai Suphaporn, aged 44, who was carrying a 9 mm pistol with 9 bullets, Mr. Wongsathit Lawanwong, aged 35, who was carrying a .38 pistol with 5 bullets and Mr. Pariwat Janlah, aged 27 who was carrying a 9 mm pistol.

Moreover, the officers also seize a lot of shisha stoves that were put on tables for the teenage customers. In the 3rd entertainment spot, the officers didn’t find any illegal items. After initial investigation the police detained all defendants with the exhibits and sent them to the inquiry official of Pattaya city police station to be prosecuted further according to Thai law.
