On December 7th, 2008 the history of Thai jet skiing was changed when "Choke-Utis Molee" alias "Jao-Phayu-Saifah" from the Flamingo team Thailand won 3 categories in the "White Sand Beach Jet Ski King‘s Cup 2008 - World Cup Grand Prix" in Pattaya.

After Choke-Utis had won the championships in Pro Sport and Sit-down Jet Ski 800 cc., he entered another Pro Sit-down Jet Ski 1,800 CC race. Unfortunately, he had a problem with his Jet Ski during the race and he could only just make it to the finish line while the Japanese racer took first place.

His luck changed when the Jet Ski of the Japanese racer failed a technical control and was disqualified. This meant that Choke-Utis became the champion of Pro Sit-down Jet Ski, making Jet Ski history by having a Thai racer winning in 3 categories.

The championship of the Stand-up Jet Ski went to the racer from Austria who beat 7 times champion, Nicolas Rius from France. The Austrian earned first place with an accumulated score of 143 points. Thai racer, Weeraphong Maneechom from Flamingo team was second with 138 points, and Nicolas Rius came third.

The trophies were presented after the race at the ballroom on the second floor of Jomtien Palm Beach hotel, Pattaya.
