PATTAYA – August 17,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; Mr Sunpet Supbawornkiet-director of Thai Eastern hotel association- revealed about the depreciation of the Chinese Yuan. He insisted that operators are ready to cope with the situation.

Upon questioning some tour guide operators they said that no trips have been cancelled by the Chinese tourists. However there is no affect on tourism as yet but it is still early days because most of the trips the Chinese are going on have already been paid for so it will take time to take effect.

Pattaya is a very popular destination with Chinese tourists because it is a cheap destination for them, but if the falling Yuan doesn’t ease it may affect numbers of Chinese coming here in the near future.
