Chinese Woman Has Handbag Snatched On Pattaya Beach Road

2 Chinese girls have notified the police after one of them had her handbag snatched as they were riding their motorbike along beach road. The victim was very distressed because her passport was in her bag and she had to travel back to China today.

PATTAYA – September 3, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Ms .Meng Yin Qi 21 year old Chinese tourist and her friend notified Pol.Lt.Songkram Paneium-tourism investigation inspector of Pattaya police station- that she had her hand bag snatched on Pattaya beach road.


Ms.Meng revealed that she and her friend were riding a motorbike along Pattaya beach road when 2 teenage men rode alongside her before snatching her hand bag which contained a digital camera, 3,000 baht, an Iphone and passport. The 2 thieves then fled the scene. She also added that she had to travel back to China today but she had no passport so she needed to contact her embassy.


Mr.Prayong Innok aged 24 who took the 2 girls to notify the police said that he witnessed the girls riding their motorbike at speed before they crashed into an ice bucket in front of a grocery. So he decided to help them before taking them to police station.


The police are now hunting the 2 snatchers and they had also inspected the CCTV in the area to find the identity of the 2 thieves.
