Chinese Tourists Abandoned In Pattaya

A tour guide abandoned 33 Chinese tourists in Pattaya after she had collected more money from them.

PATTAYA – February 19 [Pattaya Daily News] at 23.30 pm Pol.Col.Suktad Pumpanmuang-superintendent of Pattaya police station- and Pol.LT.Col.Sathaporn Sanguansuk-inspector- and police officers helped 33 Chinese tourists at an inspection centre after they told police that their tour guide had abandoned them.


The police officers found 33 Chinese tourists consisted of 31 adults and 2 children. MRs.Ye Mong aged 48 said that she had travelled to Thailand on the 16th February and she had bought a package tour for 2,399 Yuan in China.

She added that she had stayed in the Splendid Resort Jomtien. Plus, Ms.Ya Win Ping aged 20 who was their tour guide tried to collect another 1,380 Yuan but she and her friends told her that they had paid already. However, 20 tourists paid the money to the guide because they didn’t want to have any problems. Then the girl guide fled away with 27,600 Yuan and abandoned the tourists in Pattaya.
Mr.Paisan Suethanuwong aged 40 a Chinese interpreter revealed that they all travelled to Thailand and Ms.Ya Win Ping picked them up from the airport and bought them to Pattaya showed them around a bit before leaving them. This action has destroyed the good image of country and this was not the first time it’s happened.


Later Ms.Afang Saeloo aged 20 who was representative from Newgent company who the tour guide worked for met the police and insisted that she had no idea about this issue and the company would pay for any cost. Plus, the company will look after the abandoned tourists.
Pol.Col.Suktad revealed that the police officers will investigate Ms.Ya Win Ping to find out if she was an was authorized guide or not in order to be prosecute.
