Chinese Threatened to Buy Bags

2 Chinese tourists have notified Pattaya police after they were threatened to buy some bags of a Pattaya beach vendor for over 10,000 THB.

PATTAYA – January 12,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 11.30 p.m. Mr Chen Lei, aged 43, and Mr Xu Guangming, aged 45, notified Pol.Lt.Col. Somkid Sitthisart (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Chon Buri province, that they had been threatened by a bag vendor to buy his bags. The incident occurred at Ta Waen beach on Koh Lan, Moo 7 Tambon Na Kluea, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.


Mr.Chen Lei and Mr.Xu Guangming told the police via an interpreter that at 12.00 p.m. on January 12th he and his friends were sitting on Ta Waen beach when a beach bag vendor walked up to them and threatened them if they didn’t buy his bags he would assault them. Therefore, Mr. Chen Lei gave him 1,000 Yuan Mr. Xu Guangming gave him 800 Yuan and a further 2,500 THB. They gave him a total of around 12,000 THB.


Initially, Pol.Lt.Col. Somkid Sitthisart (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station) made a daily record for evidence and ordered the relative organizations to inspect the beach to find the vendor so he can be questioned about the incident and it sets a bad image of Pattaya.
